VICTORY IN ARVIKA!
Sverre Isachsen, Norway, won the first round in the Nordic Rallycross Championship "Rallycross Norden" in Arvika, Sweden, with his Ford Focus.
It was a brilliant day in Arvika for the 39 year old Norwegian. He was fastest in the qualifying, all the heats and won the A-final from pole postion.
-It's not possible to do it any better, says a very happy Sverre Isachsen.

Originally todays rallcross event in Arvika was planned to be sort of a test for Isachsen Motorsport before the next round of the European Championship at Lydden Hill, but the test was so succesful that Sverre also won the race.
Two more rounds of the Nordic Rallycross Championship waits, and the last round is in Norway, at Sverres home track at Lyngås just a short drive from where Sverre lives.
-It's important for my fans and sponsors to drive in Norway, and now I'm going for overall victory in this championship.
Michael Jernberg was second in Arvika with his Skoda Fabia and Stig-Olof Walfridsson was third in his Renault Clio.
-It was important for my confidence to beat Jernberg, who leads the European Championship. I think it's going to be difficult for him to beat me in the next races now. This victory was important for the whole team also, and we proved that we still can be faster than everybody else.
Sverre had only one problem all weekend, and that was a misfire in the engine during the A-final.
-It was a bit worrying, but my driving was good. Especially the joker lap, and therefore I had an advantage when the misfire started.
