At the 3rd Austrian Motorsport Fair which takes place in Vienna on March 6th and 7th, there will be some existing and some new Rallycross cars of Austrian drivers shown.
At the stand of the Motorsport club and event organiser, 'Automobilsportclub RRC 13', the success and powerful SEAT Leon of multiple champion Peter Ramler will be presented. The reigning Austrian Rallycross Champion aims to his fifth title in a row. After finishing the improvement work, he should be well prepared for this ambitious target. Another Division 1 car can be seen at this fair: the VW Polo Mk4 of Tristan Ekker. During last year's debut with this vehicle, he was able to show that this completely new built car has a great potential. The team is still looking after improvements and works on the reliability and performance. Maybe there will be shown another above all optically interesting car which belongs not to the Rallycross sport.
Nearby there will be the stand of a second Austrian Rallycross organiser, 'Leru Team 2'. The two leading guys of this club will show their brand new cars. The former champion (2008) of CEZ-Division 4 will switch to Division 1. For sure that will be a big step upwards for Jürgen Weiß. He has chosen to build a Ford Focus and hopes to have a competitive car for the forthcoming season. He will be one of the rivals of Ramler and Ekker in 2010 in the Austrian Rallycross Championship as well as in the FIA Central European Zone Rallycross-Trophy. The President of the club will put his focus more on the FIA European Rallycross Championship but will also participate in some national events. He plans to participate in five European events. Peter Freinberger will use a Peugeot 206 in Division 1A, but is still working on finishing the car for this fair.
Not only "high-tech" Rallycross cars will be presented this weekend. There will be also space for the so-called "low budget teams", like VRTT. Some guys of this club joined the spectacular sport of Rallycross during the previous year with their rear wheel drive Volvos. After learning the sometimes hard battles for positions in Rallycross, the Rally drivers with their so-called "elk-hunters" like to improve their competition in order to be better prepared for scoring points in Division 4 of the 2010 Austrian Rallycross Championship.
