Knut Ove Borseth is building two new cars for 2010! Name: Borseth Knut Ove

Born: 19.04.1976

Lives: Trondheim,Norway

University/Studies: Real Estate

Family: Wife and a son, 2 years old

Private car: Mercedes GL

Knut Ove, can you in a few word describe you?

Determined, hate loosing, active, systematic, always chasing new goals.

What is your career in motorsports? When did you begin?

5-13 years old: Rc-car (radiostryrt car)
12-15 years old: Go-cart
1998-2000: Local autocross
2000-2001: National Rallycross
2002-2009: Rallycross Super National class 3. Volvo, Lexus
2009: ERC in Div 2

Which fact brought you to the motorsports?

I have always been keen to compete, both in handball and motorsports.

What, for you, explains your domination for the past season?

BMsport have a race-concept which is good for supernational and Div 2. We have a lot of experience in this class, and that is important for my succes.
We believes in our own concept, and work hard every day in the workshop, trying to do things even better and better. We have very very good persons in the workshop and in the team.
That's why together with my attitude, it gives good results.

Do you belong to a motorsport commission?

Yes, Im in NMK Melhus - The local commission here. Im also working a lot with young talents. We have "the BMsport-talent 2010", a talent program for young drivers between 14 and 17 years old.

Three Norwegian champions for the 2009 ERC season, and no Rallycross event this year in Norway. What happened? How did you, Norwegian drivers, try to have your own event?

We all norwegians have worked a lot with this. But we hope and think we will get that in 2011! We have to focus on the future!

What is your feeling with this?

Im very sad about that, but I'm very motivated to help Norway to get a round in 2011.

For the 2010 European Rallycross Championship season, you are building a new Ford Fiesta MK7 for Division 2.  Can you tell us more about it?

That is a new car. We are building two cars. One to be hire for the last part of this season. One for me. Built after our latest BMsport-spec. Weight is very important for us - and the weight position.
We have used a lot of working hours on this car - so I hope it gives results... New gearbox this year: Maktrak is our choice. Engine is from our builder in England, Dunnell Engines. More spec is not for public.
Every part on the car is our own BMsport-concept.

When do you think you will enter in the Division 1?

Good question :) I dont really know, but we think this is the last season in Div 2. A lot can happens, but we do not go up to Div 1, without a complete and good "system". It is very important for me to develop BMsport-cars for supernational and Div 2 as well -  therefore we need to have some BMsport-cars in this Div 2.

Maybe you have already got an idea of the car?

We have a press-release on the 23th of april. Then our new car will be present, also our new design.

Have you got childrens in competition, do they project racing in Rallycross?

My son is 2 years old. Very interested by sport, and drives a Quad :) I think we can have some exciting years in the future...
