Johan Larsson continues with a new Citroën in D1A!

Name: LARSSON Johan.

Born: 1986.

Lives: Lidköping, Sweden.

Studies/University: Electrician.

Family: Father Ronny, Mother Carina, Brother Erik, Girlfriend Emelie.

Private car: Citroën C3, Peugeot 207 RC.

Johan, we don't know so much about you, can you tell us more?

- I'm coming from a motorsport family, where my father has competed for many years in Rallycross. Even my brother Erik competes in Racing.
When I´m not racing, I like playing Football and Floorball, and I'm always in front of the TV screen when Manchester United plays.
As a driver, I am usually very calm, like having everything neat and in order and leave nothing to chance.

When did you start to compete in Rallycross? Did you try other motorsports before that?

- In 2004, I started with Junior Rallycross in a Peugeot 106 GTI. In 2007, I raced for the first time in Div.1a with the Peugeot 207 built by our RLSPORT team.
As most other, I began my career in karting. Karting is something that i enjoy with the speed and everything, so I try to practice with my KZ2 as much i can.

Do you still have your Citroën Saxo or did you sell it this winter? If, who's the owner now?

- The Saxo was sold after the race in Sosnova last year. The new owner is a young driver from Norway.

Due to a press article, we know that the Swedish motorsports federation will help David "LL" Johansson and you for the 2010 European Rallycross Championship.

Does it mean you will have a financial support? Will you be together in the same team, with the same cars, the same colours? Can you explain this?

- This is something that I´m very proud of. The best drivers are in SMSC in each category, Rallycross, Rally, Racing etc... They are helping myself with training, sponsors, and much more important things, so I can come a long way in motorsport.
We will not be in the same team or having the same colours, but it will be difficult to beat the Sweden drivers in 2010, I can promise ;)

Moreover, previously, you didn't want to talk about your new car, but everyone wants to know. So now can you speak about it?

- It´s a better car than last year, for sure. I will show it to everybody in the beginning of the next week. But as everybody already knows it's a Citroën of course.

And what about the Kenneth Hansen Motorsport (KHM)? Will you still racing with them?

- Yes everything will be like last year, we and KHM were very satisfied with the cooperation. The car will be run by our RLSPORT team on and between the races.

Which objectives are you following for the coming seasons?

- There is only one goal for 2010, we will try to win the championship!

Who, do you think, are your hardest opponents for the 2010 ERC title?

- There are many fast drivers, the championship seems to be harder than last year, so you need to be absolutely on the edge right from the start.

Your worst memory of the last season was your rolls in Austria, isn't it? But what is your best memory?

- The past whole season is a good memory. We had a lot of fun during the races and I enjoyed every second of it!
The victory and being Swedish Champion on my home track at Kinnekulle Ring was a very big moment!
That victory has helped me much this winter!

Have you been frustrated on a moment of the season?

- No big things, but I do not like when I do own mistakes. Fortunately, it is not too often. The team is perfect and there is nothing for me to be frustrated on.

What is your favorite track?

- Hungary, England and Sweden is on my toplist !

Well, before leaving, can you give us a sentence to describe your vision of Rallycross?

- Rallycross is getting better and better every year, and it´s absolutely the best motorsport for the spectators with new action all the time.
But of course there are many things who needs to be much more professionally.
