Before  last round of the  Swedish Rallycross Championship (Strängnäs 28th August) the  standing is really closed between Michael Jernberg (54 points) and Stig-Olov Walfridson (52 points).   The award of the winner is not less than 10 000 Euros, what maybe gives more motivation to the competitors...

Michael Jernberg: "To win both, the Swedish Rallycross Championship as well as a lot of money, would be really fine! I won already four Swedish titles but I’m determined to win this year again. Claiming our national title and to grab the money too would be a nice plaster for the sores I suffered in the European championship. However, I have not given up yet and hope to win the ERC also. In case I could win both remaining rounds and Isachsen would twice not be on the podium… well, anything can happen,"

Sverre Isachsen: "The European Championship is the most important for me, but I won the first race in 'Rallycross Norden' in May, and I'm hoping to win this weekend in Strängnäs, Sweden, as well."

If Sverre does that he will be this years winner of the division 1 class in 'Rallycross Norden'. A race at Lyngås, Norway, was also planned, but was cancelled.

"That's sad, because I wanted to race in front of my home fans, but maybe I can drive a race at Lyngås this fall after all. I have to see what happens with the races in the USA first."- the 39 year old Norwegian says.

But first of all Sverre need to focus on the race this weekend. A lot of his competitors from the ERC are also in Strängnäs, so it will be an interesting fight.
